The Secret

You may already know about The Secret, both book and DVD. It reveals the Law of Attraction and how it works in our lives to create a life filled with abundance, wealth and success.

I have watched the DVD a few times and have read the book. Applying the concepts in my life is making a difference.

Here are the notes I jotted down while watching the DVD.

NOTES:
Everything that’s coming into your life, you are attracting into your life…by virtue of the images you are holding in your mind. What you hold in your mind, you attract.

Hold on to the thought of what you want. Make it absolutely clear in your mind what you want. You attract what you think about.

Thoughts become things.

See yourself living in abundance and you’ll attract it.

Most people think about what they don’t want and that’s what they attract.

You are like a magnet, attracting thoughts, people, events and lifestyle.

An affirmative thought is 100 times more powerful than a negative thought.

Become aware of your thoughts and choose them carefully. You are the Michelangelo of your own life.

Everything around you right now in your life, including the things you complain about, you’ve attracted.

Your thoughts cause your feelings. The better you feel the more in alignment you are with what you really want. The worse you feel the more in alignment you are with what you really don’t want. It might be more accurate to say that we attract what we FEEL about.

Feel healthy, feel prosperous, feel love and the universe
Will respond and manifest what you feel.

What you focus on with thought and feeling is what you attract into your experience (whether or not it’s want you want).

What you think and what you feel and what manifests is always a match.

Your job vs. the job of the universe. Your job is to ASK for what you want.

1. Ask. What do you really want? Write it down. How do you want your life to be in detail? Place your order with the universe.
2. Answer. The universe will respond every time. Most of us have never allowed ourselves to want what we truly want, because we can’t see how it’s gong to manifest.

Anyone that’s ever accomplished anything didn’t know HOW they were going to do it; they just knew they were going to do it. You don’t know HOW, it will be shown to you, you will attract the way.

3. Receiving. You must be in alignment with what you are asking for with enthusiasm, joy, appreciation, and passion. When you feel fear, despair, etc., you are not in alignment.

Learn to generate the feelings of having what you want NOW.

1. Make a list of things to be grateful for.
2. Visualize. Always dwell upon the end result. Create the felling of already having what you want. Feel the joy. Feel the happiness.
3. Create a vision board or dream book.

Decide what you want. Believe you can have it. Believe you deserve it, that’s it’s possible for you. Then close your eyes everyday for several minutes and visualize having already what it is you want and feel the feelings of already having it. Trust the universe to figure out HOW to manifest it.

Guide your thoughts on purpose. You are the manager of your thoughts.

Go for joy, love, freedom, happiness, and laughter. That’s your purpose.

Jake is my Labrador Retreiver

Whether it's just relaxing around the house or splashing in the pool, Jake knows he's part of the family. I sometimes wonder who's training whom. It seems that he has done a great job training us.
  • He knows how to make us get out of bed in the morning and fill his food dish.
  • Then, he knows how to make us take him outside to do his business.
  • He knows how to coax us into taking him for a walk around the neighborhood.
  • He knows how to get us to feed him in the evening.
  • He tells us when it's time for bed and when he want us to turn the TV off.

All in all he's pretty demanding! But, of course, we love him.

My Placeholder

I have created this blog as a placeholder for the time being. Actually, I have two blogs already that keep me busy (you can see them on my other websites).

Since I have discovered a few other "Dan Forbes" out there in cyberspace I thought it time to claim a few domains. So, I purchased DanVForbes.com and also claimed DanVForbes.blogspot.com. I didn't want to lose myself to someone else with the same name.

I wonder how the other people named Dan Forbes are doing with their lives? Have you ever thought about that for yourself?
